Disclaimer: This is not baby fever...

So occasionally I think of all the reasons I would want to have a baby. And although there are many, I promise I'm not getting pregnant anytime soon! Hellooo I have a heck of a lot to do before then. But seriously, one really big draw to having babies is the adorable trend of huge baby headbands. What's not to love?

I will force large, obnoxious bows on my children. And I feel no shame!

Okay, enough photos or I'll want one....

Airport Reflections

A few things that are awesome and not so awesome about airports.

 I love:

1. People. Everywhere you look there are interesting stories unfolding. I love to sit and try to listen to what they're saying, how their body language communicates their thoughts and insecurities, and think about who they are and where they're going.
2. Feeling like you're someone important. No one knows differently, so act cool.
3. The excitement of getting where you're going, whether it be a fun destination or finally making it home.
4. Food. For some reason I eat food I would never otherwise eat and drink waaay too much coffee when at an airport. I feel like it's the thing to do while there.
5. Reading and reading and reading some more. There's nothing else to do so I finally devote total attention to reading all the books that have stacked up. I finished 4 complete adult books (not the YA books I usually read lol) while in the airport and Puerto Rico.
6. Buying magazines. Again, I never do this, but I am a religious magazine reader while at airports.
7. Making new friends. For some reason whenever I travel I come away with about 3 new facebook friends, email addresses, and life stories from new people. I don't know what it is but people talk to me all the time at airports. I guess I look like I'll listen and talk back? I'm not sure, but I always have some old lady, soldier, or young mother chat me up.
8. Drinking Ginger Ale on the plane. It's habit.

I do not love:
1. Getting body scanned EVERY freaking time. Seriously. I've never seen some old man body scanned but I am always always, without out fail, body scanned. The whole "not profiling" is a lie. I've only ever seen young girls scanned. Not lying.  And I have traveled quite a bit this past year! It's getting ridiculous and especially when the TSA agent laughs after listening in his ear piece at the comments made after my body scan then tells me I also have to get patted down. Really, dude? You're fooling no one. I look like a threat? Honestly. I've never even set off a metal detector, I have no carry ons besides my purse, and I literally have followed every rule. It's starting to get obnoxious.

2. Moms who put their kids on leashes. We're all walking here and your kid running around with a rope attached is NOT helping the traffic flow.

3. People who bring luggage as a carry on. Just pay the $25 to check it. Seriously.

4. The one and only time I've lost my luggage prompts me to add that to the list. Not fun.

Oh, and ps: I loved Puerto Rico! :)
