Here: Kilts
I think I'll start a new series. It's titled "here" where you will find musings on what type of things happen here in my little town that probably don't happen elsewhere, or I had never experienced before moving here. I thought of this whole idea while on the Stair Master at the gym when something caught my eye in the reflection out the window. What did I see? A family all dressed alike in skirts. Men included. Then I realized it's The Taste of Scotland this weekend in town and men had competed in Feats of Strength earlier, and perhaps had kept on their skirts...errr...kilts. Now, it seems logical they would wear this for a celebration, however, it wouldn't have been out of place for these kilts on just a regular ol' day here in our town. Our town has a fascination with Scotland with a museum to prove it. I will admit I'm not sure whyyyyy everyone is obsessed because I have never really studied the facts in the museum. Shame on me, I know.

Testing
Tomorrow...End Of Grade testing for Reading. Please PRAY for my little ones' brains to work well, their nerves to be calm, clarity of thought, endurance, and confidence. I'm so very proud of who they are; I want their hard work to pay off.

And then there was ONE
One eensy-weensy-ten week semester stands between me and my master's diploma. BOOM. Officially finished my spring classes just a few minutes ago. Whew. Juuust in time for state testing. Whompwhomp. My kids are ready, and I'm ready. L-e-t-s-g-o....as I spell to my students all the time.
Hey, May, you're flyin' by!

RANT
Soooo frustrated with the parents of my students. All I've been is attacked lately. It's most frustrating when the kids are wrong, but they paint the picture to where parents believe that you're an evil hearted person. What happened to "Hey you do awesome things for my kids every day. You go out of your way to go to their theater performances BOTH nights, you go to their concerts, you go to their games, you go to their games on the WEEKENDS, you buy them breakfast, you bought them Christmas presents because I couldn't, you pick them up on the side of the road in the pouring rain because I screamed at them all morning and they got mad." Where's that? Where's the, "I'm sorry my kids told you they hated your outfit today. I'm sorry they told you they hated you as a person. I'm sorry they told you that you looked pregnant (which really means you look fat), I'm sorry they broke all of the things you spent your birthday money on for your classroom, I'm sorry I don't send my kids to school with supplies so you spend your money on supplies, I'm sorry my kids smell bad, I'm sorry you have to deal with their emotional anger issues because our home is such a disaster emotionally, I'm sorry they take pictures of your butt then tell all their friends and embarrass you, I'm sorry they lose your books that you buy and get so excited about because you want to provide them with the coolest new books." Instead I get e-mails at all hours of the day and night attacking me. Tearing me a part and demanding I reply. NEWSFLASH: I have my own s*** to do. I am trying to write a flipping Masters thesis. I'm trying to cook. I'm trying to clean up the dinner dishes. I'm trying to work out. I'm trying to just watch Duck Dynasty!!!! Geeez! Okay, rant over. Prayers please!!!!!!
