The Olympics. I'm obsessed. I'm actually thankful the events are coming to an end because my bedtime cannot handle much more of the XXX Olympic games. (Does anyone else giggle when they see that title on the TV guide?) My bedtime is so important to me these days because school has begun. Yep, a whole new batch of hormonal human beings walked into my life this week. People keep asking me how my first few days went and...I don't really know what to say. I mean, yeah, I don't hate my students, but really they're on their best behavior so far. My favorite part of my school year so far has been seeing my past students. I love seeing how grown up they are! I get more excited to see my past students than to meet my new students. It kind of takes me a bit to warm up to my new students. You have to develop a relationship with them and that takes work. It's like you break up with your boyfriend and date someone new every year...whew! This is why I didn't date a lot I guess ha. It's exhausting to learn all about someone new and for them to learn all about you. But, just like every year, I will come to love them and they will love me and then next year I'll be looking forward to seeing them at the beginning of school. My first class is now in high school. That's a big deal to me! When the graduate I will feel like I officially accomplished something. :)
So, confession, we all know how much I love baseball season. Opening Day is like an official holiday for me. But, (here comes the confession) I'm so ready for football season. It's been a long baseball season this year. I'm pumped to watch play off baseball cuz da REDS are bringin it, baby! Let's just say the Reds win the World Series (ummm is that possible? omg) and then move on to fall and football. Sounds good.
